Welcome to the all-new Honda HR-V – an ultra-contemporary, compact SUV that refuses to compromise on practicality. The smart design hides a spacious interior for all the family, while offering excellent everyday drivability. Four grades are available: S, SE, SE Navi and EX.
The compact dimensions create a neat exterior, blending a mix of sharp and smooth lines. You’ll also find a host of stylish adornments that enhance its sophisticated appearance – chrome door handles and body-coloured components create a modern finish. The 16-inch alloy wheels will catch the eye of passers-by, while daytime running lights and automatic headlights will get you noticed at any time of day. There’s also a tailgate spoiler and a shark-fin antenna to complete the bold look.
On board, you can expect a surprising amount of space fitted with intelligent features for your enjoyment. Drivers will love the height-adjustable seat, coupled with a tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel to help you find your perfect position. Power-assisted steering makes cornering simple.
Meanwhile, Honda’s Magic Seat system creates a flexible cabin – offering many ways to configure passenger and cargo space. Boot capacity stands at 431 litres with all the seats in place, rising to a maximum of 1,473 litres in total. You’ll also find a concealed compartment under the boot floor, making for simple and secure storage of valuables.
When it comes to safety, Honda has got you covered. A suite of systems come as standard, including Cruise Control with Speed Limiter to minimise fatigue on longer journeys. Meanwhile, driver aids such as anti-lock braking, electronic brakeforce distribution and vehicle stability assist will help to keep you steady, no matter what the road throws your way. Multiple airbags, ISOFIX child-seat anchors and whiplash-minimising headrests are also fitted across the line-up.
In the cabin, Honda’s touchscreen multimedia system comes as standard, offering an excellent choice of infotainment solutions. You can enjoy superior sound from the four-speaker sound system, using audio controls mounted on the steering wheel to adjust the volume. Bluetooth connectivity allows you to make calls on the move.
The 1.5-litre petrol engine is paired with your choice of manual or automatic gearboxes, producing 128bhp and 155Nm of torque. It promises to return up to 40.4mpg and as little as 130/km of CO2. Alternatively, there’s a 1.6-litre diesel engine with manual transmission, producing 118bhp and 300Nm of torque. With this you can get up to 70.6mpg, meaning fewer stops at the pumps.
Honda’s intelligent Idle Stop System reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions – it automatically switches off the engine when the vehicle comes to a halt in traffic or at junctions.
